The key suspect in the Ameer Balaj Tipu murder case was slain by accomplices' gunshots.

Ahsan Shah sustained critical injuries during the attack and died en route to the hospital, according to authorities.

Ahsan Shah, the primary suspect in Ameer Balaj Tipu's murder, was fatally shot by his own accomplices on Friday, according to police sources.

According to the police, the CIA was bringing Shah to Lahore's Shadbagh area to gather evidence and arrest his co-accused when his brother, Ali Raza, and unnamed accomplices opened fire on the police caravan in an attempt to release him.

Shah was critically injured during the attack and died en route to the hospital.

Interestingly, the police officers engaged in the event escaped unharmed. The attackers fled the area under cover of darkness, prompting a search effort to find and catch them.

Earlier this year, Ameer Balaj Tipu was slain at a wedding ceremony in a housing society Muzzafar Hussain, a former gunner for Khawaja Tareef alias Teefi Butt, over a 30-year rivalry. Muzzafar was shot dead shortly after Tipu's death.

The prime suspects, Khawaja Tareef (Teefi Butt) and Khawaja Aqeel (Gogi Butt), were pronounced proclaimed offenders. Teefi is suspected by police to have escaped abroad, while Gogi is believed to be hiding within the country. Balaj's younger brother, Ameer Moasab, named both Teefi and Gogi in the FIR.

Imran Kishwar, DIG of the Organised Crime Unit, previously indicated that the police had begun the process of issuing red warrants against the suspects through the interior ministry, with the goal of returning them to Pakistan with the assistance of Interpol.

Investigations indicate that Teefi Butt planned and carried out Tipu's murder.
Ahsan Shah, a close acquaintance, was detained for spying on Ameer Balaj Tipu in order to arrange the murder, for which he had previously been paid Rs50 million.
